If you are inspired to have a go at watercolour for the first time, or whether you are a more experienced artist who wants to experiment and learn more, why not come along to one of Bob Erends' watercolour workshops?
Bob provides guaranteed personal tuition in watercolour painting with small groups of students ( usually 6-7 people), ranging from complete beginners to the more experienced. Bob teaches mainly by demonstration, which has proved to be most successful.
Bob's workshops run throughout the year, starting at 9.30 am and finishing at 4.00 pm. Students can attend as little or as often as they wish.
Easels and boards are available for use on the day and paper may be purchased on the day if required. For those students new to painting, all art materials will be loaned free of charge for the very first session if required.
Other students may wish to see Bob's Materials list as a guide for items to bring on the day.
Workshops are held at Bob's Studio in East Sussex. They are fun and informal. Tea and coffee are provided but you may wish to bring a packed lunch.

Materials Guide
Students may obviously choose to bring their own paints, brushes etc., but as a guide, Bob uses the following materials:
- Palette: Large Rectangular plastic "JAKAR" 18 well palette
- Paper: Bockingford 200lb NOT or Rough surface (can be purchased on the day)
- Brushes:
- Pro Arte Series 100 Round brushes numbers 4, 6, 10, 14, 16 and 18
- Pro Arte Series 50 Extra Large Wash Brush
- Pro Arte Series 103 Numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, and 5 Rigger Brushes
- Flat Brush 5/8 inch or 3/4 inch nylon
- Masking Fluid: Grey "PEBEO"
- Ruling Pen, for application of masking fluid
- Pencils: 2b soft lead
- Eraser: soft but not putty or plastic erasers
- Paints: Winsor and Newton Artists Quality tube paints in the following colours:
- Permanent Rose
- Light Red
- Burnt Sienna
- Raw Sienna
- Paynes Grey
- Cobalt Blue
- Winsor Yellow
- Naples Yellow
- French Ultramarine Blue
